Program Background
DT Global has been engaged by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to manage the Building Community Engagement in Papua New Guinea (BCEP) Program. BCEP represents a significant investment in promoting participatory democracy in PNG, with a goal to strengthen citizen-government engagement for improved service delivery and provision of public goods.

The Role
To work with the Lead GEDSI Consultant to review and update BCEP’s GEDSI Strategy, ensuring it is contextually relevant, evidence based, and informed by inclusive, participatory consultations with a wide range of PNG stakeholders from government and civil society. The national GEDSI Consultant will lead and facilitate in-country consultations, ensuring local voices, priorities, and lived experiences are central to the updated strategy.

About You
· Relevant tertiary qualifications in social science, gender studies, or relevant discipline.
· A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in gender equality, disability, and social inclusion, and/ or social inclusion in development programs.
· Demonstrated experience in facilitating participatory consultations and qualitative research.
· Strong understanding of PNG’s GEDSI context, including national policies, cultural dynamics, and development challenges.
· Familiarity with DFAT’s GEDSI and disability inclusion frameworks.
· Experience supporting strategy development and/or program reviews
· Strong networks with PNG civil society, government, and community organizations.
